With Jeanne Balibar in the role of Quixote, Marie-Noëlle as Rossinante, his horse, and Thierry Dupont from the Oiseau Mouche company as Sancho Panza, he sets out to tackle Cervantes’ masterpiece with the promise of turning it upside down by the sheer force of his vivid and unfettered theatrical imagination. Don Quixote suffers humiliations that mock his credulity, to which he responds with his hallucinations. Jeanne Balibar plays an anti-heroine who fervently embarks on a mischievous theatrical adventure, ready to take on the merciless world.
